A 19-year-old man faces numerous charges after a report of a shooting at a house party in Okanogan County.

Deputies and Omak Police went to the home on Kegley Lane in Okanogan at about 4:30 am Saturday along with EMS medics, where they found a 16-year-old boy with a gunshot injury.

He was seriously injured and taken to a hospital in Spokane.

After talking to the boy, witnesses and receiving a call from the father of 19-year-old Daemien Conway, officers arrested Conway four-and-a-half hours later at his home.

He faces numerous charges, including 3rd Degree Assault, Reckless Endangerment, Carrying a Concealed Weapon without a Permit, and Tampering with Physical Evidence. He was booked into the Okanogan County Jail.

A Okanogan County Deputy and an Omak Police officer conducted interviews with witnesses at the party and the 16-year-old who was shot, where they collected evidence.

They say they received a call from Conway's father, who alerted them that Conway had returned to his home.

People who left the residence prior to being contacted by Law Enforcement are being asked to contact the Okanogan County Sheriff’s Office to help in completing the investigation of the shooting.
