Peshastin Mobile Home Destroyed in Friday Morning Fire

Crews from Chelan County Fire District 6, District 3 and the Cashmere Fire Department responded to a fully engulfed mobile home in the 3600 block of Allen Lane south of Peshastin Friday morning around 2:00 am.

Chief Phil Mosher said the electrical line going into the single-wide caused an issue for firefighters, so crews had to be careful where they were spraying water.

"The mobile home was fairly old and uninhabited. It was a rental that at the time was not being rented." explained Mosher, "It had a few attachments that were built onto it."

Eventually the Chelan PUD had to cut power to about 700 customers to let crews battle the blaze. The home was totally destroyed and there were no injuries. The cause is thought to be electrical.
