The Chelan Douglas Regional Port Authority is providing the Wenatchee Downtown Association $1,000 for the next possibilities tour and $2,000 for a statewide conference.

Funding was provided through the Port's Partners in Economic Development program.

The Downtown Association normally held a possibilities tour twice a year prior to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Downtown Association Director Linda Haglund said those taking the tour in July will visit several spaces that are available for lease or have been newly renovated.

"It's always super fun and we don't ask too many questions. We don't say 'Oh, who are you? What are you thinking about bringing?'" explained Haglund, "We just let people walk in, see spaces and being to imagine."

Refreshments and snacks will be provided at the end of the tour.

Specific locations on the tour will be named as it gets closer.

The Downtown Association will also hold this year's Revitalize WA Conference in October, which focuses on historic preservation and economic revitalization. More about the conference can be found here.
