Royal City Police Provide Fatal Fire Update

The Royal City Police Department has provided more details about a mobile home fire that killed a five-year-old girl.

When fire crews arrived a little after 3:00 a.m. to Coachman Mobile Home Park on Catalpa Ave. two trailers were fully engulfed and one was catching fire. The three would be a total loss.

Inside one of the units, the little girl was found.

After an autopsy, it was determined that the cause of death was smoke inhalation.

The cause is under investigation.
