Samaritan Healthcare in Moses Lake recently confirmed that seven of its employees have tested positive for coronavirus.

According to our news partner iFIBER ONE, the employees contracted the virus through community exposure and do not work in the same department.

After learning of the infections, Samaritan began contact tracing the positive employees July 26th. The healthcare provider has found no further positive test results among staff. Two former patients who had direct, prolonged contact with the COVID-positive employees have been tested, but their results are not yet available because of a delay.

Samaritan says it will continue to work with the Grant County Health District to ensure the safety of its staff and patients.
