Separate Student Loan Bills Passed

The Washington State House passed a bill that will provide detailed information on student loans to college loans after the loan has been disbursed.

The legislation was proposed by the State Attorney General Bob Ferguson after he has received what he says are hundreds of complaints from student borrowers.

A similar bill passed the Senate earlier this session. Now the two bills will be worked and reconciled together in the Capitol.

Similar legislation has been approved in Connecticut, California and Washington D.C.
