The Small Business Development Council, which serves the two county area and is funded by the Chelan-Douglas Regional Port Authority, added to its staff recently with the hopes of better servicing the local business community.

Economic and Business Development Director Ron Cridlebaugh says the organization was able to bring on a second business advisor, who arrives with an excellent resume.

"They are great resources to be able to help business with business planning, how to react to this whole coronavirus, and resiliency planning. They also are great resources if the business is thinking of applying for (Small Business Administration) funding, like the (Economic Injury Disaster Loan), they call it the EIDL loan."

Business advising is available to any business owner in the area, regardless of county, and is free of charge.
