The Wenatchee Wild earned a 4-2 victory over the Cranbrook Bucks on Easter Sunday at Town Toyota Center, taking their Interior Conference quarterfinal series four games to two and closing out the campaign for the second-seeded Bucks.

The Cranbrook Bucks forced their British Columbia Hockey League Interior Conference quarterfinal series back to Wenatchee with a 4-2 victory at Western Financial Place. The Wild will face the Bucks one final time on home ice, with a seventh game set for Tuesday in Cranbrook if necessary.

One night after setting a new team record with four goals in a playoff game, Murray matched it with four more Wednesday, pushing the Wild to a 4-0 lead on the way to a 4-2 victory over the Bucks at Town Toyota Center

They play huge roles promoting and providing charitable activities and programs along with raising funds for the benefit of the Wenatchee Wild organization. The booster club also explores ways to provide support for the players.

The Wenatchee Bighorns Pro Basketball team has been really awesome for the community by bringing the kids into all the action. After the game, the kids were able to come onto the court and get pictures with the players along with signatures.

The Cranbrook Bucks battled back from a three-goal deficit at the intermission but the Wild prevailed 5-4 in a 13-round shootout and reset an 11-year-old record for the longest regular-season contest in team history.

Wenatchee roared to a 5-1 win over the Chilliwack Chiefs in front of 4,260 fans, only its second capacity crowd in its British Columbia Hockey League era and first in regular-season play. Saturday’s figure marks the largest crowd to see a regular-season contest in Wenatchee since March 19, 2011, and the third-largest regular-season crowd in team history.
