Three Rivers Hospital Stops OB/Labor & Delivery Services – Permanently

Three Rivers Hospital is no longer providing OB/Labor and Delivery services, effective April 1. Omak based hospital, Mid-Valley Hospital will be the central location in Okanogan County for the services.

"The reason for this is, there's a very limited number of providers in Okanogan that can do OB," said Jennifer Best, business development coordinator. "So they were stretched really thin to meet the needs of the three hospitals in the county."

Three Rivers commissioners and administration initially tried to hire its own doctors rather than sharing the same doctors. However, it wasn't financially feasible to make that move.

Three Rivers has modified its OB policies in case of emergency situations, however patients are being advised to re-route their obstetric care to another health facility.
