Twentyfive Mile Fire Over 13,000 Acres

Hotshots continue to fight portions of the Twentyfive Mile Fire that crossed containment lines Sunday.

Operations Section Chief Trainee Caleb Finch said much of the focus Tuesday was shoring up the northern containment lines.

"They constructed a lot of line." detailed Finch, "They installed hoses and sprinklers and so on. They're going to continue to test that equipment today, look for any areas that might need a little improvement on their prep and monitor any fire behavior."

The fire is estimated to have burned 13,085 acres and is 31% contained. There have been no changes to residents under Level 1 evacuation notices.
