The Washington Apple Education Foundation (WAEF) is now accepting applications from students raised in tree fruit industry families that will attend college in fall 2021.

Students who have parents that work or own orchards or warehouses or have parents that work with direct suppliers to the industry are eligible.

"Additionally, students who plan to work in the tree fruit industry are eligible as well," said Jennifer Witherbee, executive director.

The WAEF scholarship program has $1 million available for eligible students.

"This is one of the ways that the industry gives back to tree fruit industry families," said Witherbee.
