Washington's mask order may be revisited in the near future.

A statement from Gov. Jay Inslee reported by KING 5 says the state is tracking COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations, and deaths.

The statement said that the state is optimistic the numbers will continue to decline in a way that will let them revisit the mask requirements in the near future.

Oregon and California are already set to lift mask orders for indoor public places.

Oregon's mask mandate will be lifted on March 31, although it will remain in place in healthcare settings.

The California mandate will be lifted next Tuesday, but will stay in place for unvaccinated people and schoolchildren.

Washington's indoor mask order has been in place since late August of last year.

New COVID-19 cases in Washington have been on the down swing, although the biggest drop has been seen on the state's west side so far.
