Wenatchee City Hall Develops Internal Reopening Strategy

City of Wenatchee officials have been working to develop an internal strategy for reopening City Hall over the last few weeks, including installing Plexiglas in areas where city employees interact with the public.

Mayor Frank Kuntz stated that the idea is to open City Hall one week after the governor moves Chelan County to Phase 2 of his county-by-county reopening plan.

"We're going to give our staff some time to figure out daycare and those sorts of things, as every family has different issues before we get everyone back to work full-time in our city offices."

Even if the Chelan and Douglas County citizens suing Governor Inslee over his emergency declaration are successful, Kuntz said that still shouldn't really change anything, as the suit only concerns businesses that are ready to open.
