The wrongful death lawsuit against a George-area resort accused of causing the death of a 10-year-old girl will need to wait until the spring.

According to our news partner iFIBER ONE, 10-year-old Danika Ross was playing with some other children in a three-acre, man-made lake last July when she was sucked into an ungrated irrigation pipe and drowned 70 feet into the hillside.

The law firm representing the family says the Cave B Inn and Winery made no mention of the hazard that the pipe posed, and that the lake was unfit for aquatic recreation.

All parties must now wait for the lake and irrigation system to thaw. The family's lawyer says he plans to send the lawsuit to trail.
