1000 Tons of Hay Caught on Fire Early Friday Morning

Grant County Fire District 3 and Grant County Fire District 13 tackled a haystack fire early Friday morning at 5:45. According to our news partner, iFiberone, roughly 1,000 tons of hay caught on fire near Winchester, in the 8400 block of Martin Rd. NW. 1,069 hay bales were burned and belonged to a local family. Fire District 13 cautions that folks will see smoke and flames from the burn over the next few days. The cause of fire is under investigation. This is Grant County's 14th reported haystack fire.
