The Leavenworth Chamber of Commerce is moving forward with additions and changes this December for the annual Village of Lights festival.

The Village of Lights will be expanded throughout the month of December with additional programs and activities, such as a festive gift wrapping station.

"We're going to be activating our Festhalle for the month," said Troy Campbell, executive director. "We'll have Christmas concerts, photos with Santa, gingerbread competition, Santa Clauses from around the world on display. There's going to be a lot of things to do and see at the Festhalle."

The chamber is also adding more lighting elements around town. Changes are also in place for crowd size mitigation and parking availability.

"Most notably different will be no longer doing the countdown to flipping the switch on and taking the approach that we want to make it magical every night of the month," said Campbell.

The lights will be on each evening at dusk.
