The Community Foundation of NCW recently opened up its application process for the Stronger Schools grant. A Stronger Schools grant can offer up to $5,000 for programs that support teacher development, enhance experiences for students and curate activities for schools to achieve set goals.

"These are grants open up to any public school system, school building or student teacher parent association to apply for projects or programs that would enhance their student learning within their school or school district," said Beth Stipe, executive director.

The grant is available to public schools and school districts serving pre-K through 12 grade students within Chelan, Douglas and Okanogan counties.

"The Community Foundation of North Central Washington is thrilled to open up the application process for our Stronger Schools grant," said Stipe. "Last year, we awarded almost $70,000 to schools throughout North Central Washington."

Applications are due by March 15th and grants are awarded in June for the 2020-2021 school year.
