The Chelan County Sheriff's Office is seeking help in identifying a man who broke into Selland Construction and stole a pickup before abandoning it near a junk yard in Malaga.

Deputy Zach Brunner said the investigation began after they received a report in late July of an abandoned construction vehicle. The pickup had several items missing but the keys inside.

"We were able to lift a fingerprint on scene." detailed Brunner, "After going to the actual sight of Selland Construction they had very useful security camera footage which showed a suspect walking around the yard after hours, pulling on door handles and checking for an opportunity."

Charges could include burglary, theft, theft of a vehicle, and malicious mischief. The investigation is ongoing.

Those with information are asked to contact RiverCom at (509) 663-9911, or email Deputy Brunner at zach.brunner@co.chelan.wa.us. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
