The Chelan Douglas Health District will remain closed to the public through the rest of the week after shuttering its doors noon Thursday.

The district says it is prioritizing keeping the testing site at the Town Toyota Center open and making sure enough staff is available to do things like answer phones. CDHD has been experiencing a very high call volume and is stressing that callers need to follow their phone prompts carefully.

The district expects more temporary closures from entities throughout the region over the next two weeks as the Omicron variant peaks.
