Chelan PUD staff provided insight on what's ahead for parks focused project in 2021 at Monday's commission meeting. This includes projects for Walla Walla Park, Daroga Park and continuing work from 2020 for BeeBee Bridge Park.

The PUD has slated tennis court resurfacing, repainting and striping for both Daroga and Walla Walla parks.

"Not only will we resurfacing and patching cracks and holes, we'll also be repainting and while we do that we're going to restripe them for pickleball," said Kyle Endelman, parks superintendent.

The PUD will also be working on a trail extension at the Reach 1 trail in partnership with the Chelan Trails Alliance and the city of Chelan.

The PUD will also continue to monitor the results of the fiber service implemented at BeeBee Bridge Park in 2020. This addition allowed an increase in security cameras.

"We're also running an irrigation pilot program at BeeBee park and this is a web based irrigation system," said Endelman.

Projects also include a Kirby Billingsley erosion work which is set to start in October.
