City of Cashmere Moves Ahead with 2022 Budget

The city of Cashmere is getting its financial ducks in a row for the new year and is rolling out its 2022 budget. The budget has an emphasis on maintenance.

"The swimming pool is definitely funded in there," sad Mayor Jim Fletcher. "We hope to, under our capital projects, to get some repair work done to the pool to be open for the summer."

The city has a variety of projects on the agenda for 2022 including Wenatchee River boat ramp repairs (pending permit approvals), equipment purchases and road projects to improve pressure zones and hydrant replacements.

"There's not anything really big this year, other than trying to do better at what we do with normal maintenance and that adds up to a lot of money, believe it or not.," said Mayor Fletcher.
