The city of Wenatchee is moving forward with its five year Capital Facilities Plan, an annual adoption to pair with the city's budget. The plan is a financial document to guide the implementation of the comprehensive plans and includes structure improvements, equipment or major assets such as land with a useful life of a decade.

City council adopted the plan at the December 9 meeting. City departments that provide capital facilities annually review the plan and city budget.

"The plan purpose, we need to show its consistent with goals and policies of the comprehensive plan, consistent with the projected population growth and land use plan and also concurrent within six years of impacts of new developments in order to achieve our adopted levels of service," said Glen DeVries, community development director.

The plan covers 2022 through 2027.
