The Community Foundation of NCW has kickstarted its NCW Fire Relief Fund again to collect donations for recovery efforts in Chelan, Douglas and Okanogan counties.

"We have pretty long standing experience doing this work and that made it really easy to stand up the fund and the process that goes with it to help in long term recovery," said Beth Stipe, executive director.

The foundation will collect funds to support the individuals and families impacted by the region's wildfires and also work to connect folks with direct services and resources.

A collective group of local organizations, including the Community Foundation, government and faith organizations, works through a case management process and assigns impacted individuals a case manager to assist them personally through the process. Community Foundation uses funds to support where other resources are restricted.

"When you have a group that acts as an unmet needs roundtable, it makes it really easy to say 'Ok, here's an unmet need and I have funding available that's maybe restricted for that'," said Stipe. "One of the things the Community Foundation has worked to do is to provide those unrestricted dollars."

Minimum donation is $10 and 100% of the funds will help individuals and families impacted by wildfire in North Central Washington. To donate, visit here.
