Chelan-Douglas Health District Administrator Luke Davies held a press conference Tuesday at the COVID-19 mass vaccination site in the Town Toyota Center to give an update on vaccine distribution.

Davies said the amount of doses coming from the federal government have been stable.

"The booster doses are what's causing the complexity. We haven't seen our doses increase because of the booster. We're hoping that those supply lines increase over time." explained Davies, "Right now we're still working at about 35-40% capacity of what our region could do. We can do more."

The state Department of Health determines the weekly vaccine allocation based on the federal supply of vaccine doses coming in. Davies added that other counties that don't have a mass vaccination site do not have the level of vaccine coming to them as our region and that distributing vaccines has been a challenge everywhere.

The mass vaccination site has distributed 6,641 doses as of Tuesday morning.

Those in phase 1A and 1B-1 that have not scheduled a vaccination appointment can go to prepmod.doh.wa.gov again Sunday at noon to schedule a vaccination.
