
COVID Incidence Rate Sees Significant Decline in Chelan-Douglas Area
The Chelan-Douglas Health District's latest thermographic shows a second straight week of significant declines in the COVID incidence rate in the two-county area.
For the week ending May 3rd, there was 138 positive cases per 100,000 people over a two-week period.
The state also says that Chelan County has the fourth highest percentage of eligible residents getting at least their initial vaccine at 59%. Douglas County is at nearly 51% as of the end of the day Thursday.
The state says 48% of Chelan County residents and 41% of Douglas County are considered fully vaccinated.
