Detectives Searching for Vehicle Tied to Pedestrian Hit-and-run Monday

The Wenatchee Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a vehicle that struck a pedestrian while in the crosswalk of Fifth Street and North Emerson Avenue around 5:00 pm Monday.

Detective Mark Ward said footage showed a white Ford Ranger extended cab pickup truck with a dark colored accent stripe and contractor's rack. The vehicle didn't appear to have any damage to its front end.

"Right now that vehicle is just a vehicle of interest. We're waiting on some other video footage which may show the actual collision happen." explained Ward, "We really need to be able to talk to that driver and get their other side of it because, even if they were not involved, they were highly likely right there at the time and may lead us to helping identify who actually struck her."

The victim was transported to Central Washington Hospital with a serious leg injury. Anyone with information is asked to please contact Detective Ward at 509-888-4255.
