Drive-thru Testing Coming to Leavenworth Wednesday

Two rounds of drive-thru testing will take place in Leavenworth starting this week.

According to the City, the first round is scheduled for Wednesday through Friday, while the second round will run from next Tuesday to next Friday. Drive-thru testing for the first event will be held at the Leavenworth Hatchery from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm, while the location of the second round of testing has yet to be determined. The public is asked to access the hatchery from the gate at East Leavenworth Road.

Said Mayor Carl Florea, "Not having to make appointments, or even leave your vehicle, should eliminate barriers for our community. This is a free, accessible test."

The tests are minimally invasive and include a nose swab that will be self-applied.
