Early Wednesday Morning Car Accident Results In Utility Pole Damage & One Driver Fleeing

Wenatchee Police responded to a potential injury accident in the 100 block of N. Miller Street 5:20 a.m. Wednesday. According to Captain Edgar Reinfeld, upon arrival, officers found a heavily damaged utility pole and a vehicle that had been struck.

The driver of the second vehicle was still on scene with minor injuries and the driver of the causing vehicle has fled. Police do not have the identity of the causing driver 100% confirmed and the location of the causing vehicle and driver is still unknown, as of 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.

"We're looking for the potential suspect at this time," said Reinfeld.

The accident damaged the pole to the extent there were dangling telephone lines which resulted in a road closure.
