East Wenatchee to Celebrate 90th Anniversary of Miss. Veedol

City of East Wenatchee is inviting the community to a reception on October 3 to celebrate the 90th anniversary of Miss Veedol's flight and the 40th anniversary of the Misawa Sister City. The reception, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Wenatchee Valley Museum, will feature the newest installment of the documentary, 'Miss Veedol - Spirit of Wenatchee'.

"I tell people to bring a tissue because there might be a few tears," said East Wenatchee Mayor Jerrilea Crawford. "We'll do a toast to our friends in Misawa."

A video will also be recorded at the event with attendees to send back over to sister city, Misawa.
