Eastmont School District is preparing to submit its Student Well Being Recovery Plan to the state by June 1st.

Assistant Superintendent Matt Charlton said every district in Washington that accepted federal stimulus funds is required to show their plan on how they are going to help students recover academically and emotionally.

Ways the district intends to help students with their recovery include more time for learning, extensive summer school plans and focusing on the subgroups of students who have been most impacted, such as the district's English language learners.

Eastmont, which has had its students back for a greater number of days than most districts in the state, has already met several of the conditions outlined in the plan. The school board must also approve the plan.
