Pangborn Memorial Airport will soon be undergoing minor renovations in order to expand their passenger terminal.

The airport recently was awarded a $158,000 grant by the FAA to improve capacity. Pangborn officials are aiming to renovate the portion of building passengers are sent to wait after clearing the TSA checkpoint, known as the passenger hold area. The project will add room for about 30-40 more travelers at a cost of roughly $234,000 in total.

Construction is expected to begin sometime in the fall, with the project's completion by February. Pangborn will not close during construction.
