Former Chelan County Sheriff Candidate Found to Have Violated State Campaign Laws

Former candidate for Chelan County Sheriff Jennifer Tyler was found to have violated state law during her campaign and fined more than $900.

The State Public Disclosure Commission says Tyler received more than was allowed as an anonymous contribution and then when she didn't spend all the money give the donation back or give it to the state.

Tyler ran for Sheriff in 2018 losing to Brian Burnett.

She is in the midst of a grievance process with the department after a suspension and termination. She has also filed a federal lawsuit.
