South Douglas Conservation District and Cascadia Conservation District are hosting a Native Planting 101 workshop just in time for spring on March 7 in Waterville. The event will run from 12-4 in the NCW Fairgrounds Community Hall.

"We've got four speakers that are going to talk about native plants," said Carol Cowling, South Douglas Conservation District. "We've got Master Gardeners who are going to talk as well. "

The local experts, including a speaker from the Chelan County Noxious Weed Control Board, will cover topics such as designing with native plants, soil health and noxious weeds.

It is encouraged for folks to RSVP in order to have a headcount. Call 509-745-9160 or 509-463-1601 to reserve a seat.
