The 7000 block of Frenchman Hills Road remains closed due to flooding as a result of a canal breach that occurred Friday night in Grant County. The irrigation canal failure resulted in flooding a busy east-west road, and leaving more than 200 residences without power.

According to Kyle Foreman Grant County Sheriff spokesperson, there are no reports of any damaged homes. "We don't believe there was any private property damage, at least we had none that was reported. There was one person that reported damage to a vehicle that was outside of his house. However, we don't have any reports on any structures or homes that were damaged due to the flooding," Foreman said.

The washed out section of Frenchman Hills Road will remain closed for an extended period of time, "The flooding also washed away a section of Frenchman Hills Road. The road will be out of service and will be for sometime, pending repairs." Foreman said.

Roadblocks are in place at Road 1 Southwest, and Road D Southwest. There is no access to Dodson Road from the West.
