Grant County Fire District 7 Raising Money for Needed Gear Replacement

A GoFundMe campaign was launched this week to help Grant County Fire District 7 to replace the air canisters for the self-contained breathing apparatus.

According to the department, their current canisters are 15 years old and will be out of compliance by December 1st.

They each cost $700 and with the need to purchase 36, they're hoping to raise $25,000.

The equipment is vital to firefighter operations and the pandemic has made fundraising efforts a challenge.
