The Chelan Douglas Health District released their latest masking survey results Wednesday.

The survey brought welcomed news, as it found the overall compliance in the two county area was 93%, up from only 68% the month before.

The biggest gains were in Chelan County, where overall compliance jumped from 64% in late August to 93%. In Douglas County, employee masking improved while customers' masking habits actually slipped, causing the county to drop two points to 90% compliance.

The newest survey observed 2,439 customers and employees in businesses in Bridgeport, Chelan, Cashmere, Entiat, East Wenatchee, Leavenworth, Manson, Orondo, Plain, Rock Island, Waterville and Wenatchee from September 25th to 30th. People were considered to not be wearing a mask if they did not have one on, or if it did not cover both their mouth and nose at time of observation.
