The Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board announced Monday that, effective immediately, marijuana retailers can provide a free joint to adults vaccinated at in-store clinics as part of the "Joints for Jabs" promotion.

The state will provide a temporary allowance for the retailers until the optional program expires July 12th. Participating weed shops can only provide a pre-roll joint to those 21 and over, and the joint must be given in association with an active vaccine clinic event at the retail location.

The board recently provided an allowance for a beer, wine or cocktail to be provided at no cost for those vaccinated by June 30th.
