Lake Chelan Health CEO George Rohrich will be stepping down to purse another opportunity after being with the organization since 2019. Lake Chelan Health is in the midst the recruitment process to find his replacement with hopes to have a new CEO in six months.

"George was offered an opportunity he's been waiting for for a long time," said Agustin Benegas, outreach coordinator. "The board has already received inquiries from several very qualified candidates for interim positions."

The board selected three applicants out of the pool of four applications to interview. The board will work with a transition committee, that consists of board members, community members and a provider to select the permanent CEO.

"It takes about six months roughly to find someone that has experience needed for a critical access hospital that has financial experience, leadership and high communication skills ," said Benegas.

Rohrich announced his resignation on October 6.
