Lake Chelan School District Asking Parents for Meal Program Feedback

Lake Chelan School District is asking parents to fill out a quick survey asking if they would be interest in receiving free summer meals.

Food Services Director Rosey Burkhard said the USDA is providing an extension of its meal kit program for kids through age 18 into September.

"Either way the data is important for such decisions." explained Burkhard, "We would have to be bringing in staff, we would be buying more food, we would be packaging it and we would have to arrange for its distribution."
