High schoolers in the North Central Washington region, as well as a handful of other counties, are invited to submit artwork by May for the Year of the Apple Art Contest.

"The contest is an opportunity for high school kids with artistic talents to showcase those and win prize money and get to see their artwork on the Corteva Agriscience, the sponsor, poster calendar," said Jennifer Witherbee, executive director. "What we're looking for in artwork is apples. Our artistic renderings of apples that would be grown in Washington State."

The grand prize winner will be featured in the 2022 calendar and walk away with $1,000. The second place winner will receive $500 and third place, $250. In addition to cash prizes for students, the top three winner’s art class/teacher will win a $150 Amazon gift card for art supplies.
