Governor Inslee announced Friday that low-risk construction can resume during the "Stay Home, Stay Healthy" order.

Inslee said he worked with industry groups to create safe guidelines to restart work on already existing buildings.

"The requirements developed by this workgroup include work-site safety plans that allow only low-risk work where physical distancing can be followed." Inslee explained, "If it can't be done with social distancing, then it cannot proceed at this time."

There are a total of 30 rules in place, including plans for controlling outbreaks, work-site safety plans among others, that must be followed before work can resume.

Inslee added that this plan can be used for other business sectors down the road. The Governor will sign the order today to permit work.
