A 42-year-old man is in the Grant County Jail on drug charges after a bust in the 200 block of North Boundary Avenue in Mattawa last week by the Grant County Interagency Narcotics Enforcement Team (INET).

PIO Kyle Foreman says the search warrant, which was executed on December 23rd, resulted in over $2 million in drugs.

"INET detectives seized over 32 lbs. of methamphetamine, 25,000 fentanyl pills and $50,000 in cash," detailed Foreman.

Rigoberto Tapia was arrested and jailed for possession of controlled substances with intent to deliver, with a school zone enhancement because the residence was within 1,000 feet of Wahluke High School.

The investigation is ongoing.
