The body of a man who went missing in a Kittitas County lake is on the way back to family after being recovered.

According to our news partner iFIBER ONE, searchers including members of the King County Sheriff's Office Marine and Dive unit used boats, underwater sonar drones and K9s trained to detect underwater drowning victims to locate Cheng Chen in Lake Keechelus in about 50 feet of water.

The Kittitas County Sheriff's Office says the 39-year-old Chen was paddling boarding May 22nd when he lost his balance and fell into the chilly water.

Cheng's body is currently in the care of the Kittitas County Coroner's Office.
