Moses Lake Police announced Saturday its Street Crimes unit recently teamed up with the U.S. Marshal's Office to hunt down a wanted felon, which led to the seizure of over a pound of drugs.

According to the department's Facebook page, 33-year-old Guillermo Valdez of Moses Lake was located and taken into custody July 7th. After his arrest, the street crimes unit developed probable cause to serve a search warrant on his residence on Kristine Street. Detectives eventually found 1.3 pounds of methamphetamine, an ounce of heroin and 65 suspected counterfeit fentanyl pills.

Valdez was taken into custody by the Marshal’s Office. He faces several drug-related charges.
