Crews from Grant County Fire District 5 responded to a structure fire in the 8000 block of Terminal Street NE in Moses Lake just before 8:30 am Monday morning.

Battalion Chief Bob Horst said that when crews arrived, smoke and flames could be seen coming from both the residence and a secondary building. The primary residence, a single-wide mobile home, was about 25% damaged while the separate garage-type building was a total loss. Two cars, a Pontiac Trans Am and an unidentified SUV, were both destroyed in the fire.

There were no injuries to people or pets, although it's unclear just how many residents live in the home and are now displaced. Crews completed mop-up operations just before noon.

The cause is under investigation.
