Owner Still Assessing Damage After Winthrop Fire

Crews from Okanogan County Fire District 6 battled hot and cold conditions after responding to a trailer fire during Monday's snowstorm.

According to the district's Facebook page, firefighters from stations in Winthrop, Twisp and Mazama all reported to a travel trailer on fire in the 10 block of Northcott Road in Winthrop around 2:00 pm. When engines arrived, the trailer was fully involved.

Firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading to a nearby structure by knocking the flames down quickly.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
