The annual polar plunge event to benefit Special Olympics is going to look a lot different this year, but for many, it is not damping their enthusiasm.

Caryl Andre and the Wenatchee Parks, Recreation and Cultural Service Department plungers dove in the water earlier this week.

Normally there would be a large event with a full crowd and Walla Walla State Park.

This year, the event is being done virtually with each group filming themselves plunging and sending it to Special Olympics.

For participants, the deadline to submit their video is Friday the 26th.
