Mallory Berschauer (DPT) will instruct a class about Injury Prevention this Tuesday from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Pybus University. The class topic is 'Injury Prevention for All Ages'.

Berschauer says that injury and pain are a normal part of physical activity. "Unfortunately, pain and injury is not a unique experience. It's something that everybody will likely experience at some point in their lives."

The class will cover the basics of conditioning, exercising, warm-ups, cool downs and strength training. "Our talk is going to cover various aspects across the lifespan, from injury prevention tips for youth athletes, to helping prevent back and neck pain for the working population." Other prevention tips will be discussed such as posture, and conditioning techniques to reduce the risk of injury.

Berschauer specializes in the areas of orthopedics, sports medicine, dance medicine, and women's health-physical therapy.
