Local nonprofits, SAGE and Chelan-Douglas CASA, are hosting a fundraiser that doubles as a color run, the Wenatchee Valley 5K Color Rush, on April 30. The race will fall on the same weekend as the 2022 Apple Blossom parade and will take place before the children's parade in Morris Park at 9:30 a.m.

"Come in wearing as much white as possible and as you're running through everyone gets blasted with all these different colors from different stations," said Jordin Swallow, victim advocate. "You leave just absolutely a rainbow."

All of the proceeds will be split between CASA and SAGE to apply toward local youth. Swallow adds the money can support anything from a child in need of a bike to high schoolers in need of a prom dress.

Participants that register by February 1st are guaranteed a free t-shirt. Adult tickets are $35 and $20 for teens. To register, visit here.
