The National Weather Service is reporting a strong low pressure system is rolling in over the weekend, meaning snow is likely on the mountain passes.

According to meteorologist, Steven Van Horn, a cold front is expected Monday and the snow levels should lower by Monday night. Snow is likely for Stevens Pass throughout the weekend and Snoqualmie Pass will likely have snow Sunday. The weather service is projecting a foot to a foot and a half of snow accumulation for Snoqualmie Pass and potentially two feet of snow accumulation on Stevens Pass.

The North Central Washington region is under a hazardous weather watch due to gusty winds as well.
